Benefit for Pat Great Success
Through CWBC's CERF Clinic and auction of 2 pillows on E-bay, as well as generous donations from CWBC members and friends we have raised over $1200.00 to send to Pat Marlow.
There are many members who contributed to the success of this effort. Clauda Anderson, Sherry Hinkel, Carolyn & Gary Miller, and Ellen Parr staffed the CERF clinic. Sherry did the counted cross stitching on the pillow and Ila Edwards made the pillows. Gary & Carolyn posted and rand the auction on E-bay. Many members bid on the pillows and Jayne Bailey won one. Many more members made generous donations to the fund. This is just another example of how CWBC is making a positive difference for Beagles and the people who love them.
2007 Specialty Date Change
The Columbia-Willamette Beagle Club Specialty show has been rescheduled to Friday, July 20, 2007 at the Portland Expo Center. The Portland Kennel Club (PKC) recently announced that they will no longer join the Greater Clark County Kennel Club (GCCKC) in what has been known as the "Brush Praire Cluster." For the past several years since GCCKC lost their property in Brush Prairie, the Cluster has traveled to several different sites in both Oregon and Washington and has been unable to find a stable home.
The 2007 CWBC Specialty will precede the Saturday and Sunday PKC all-breed shows. A decision about CWBC specialties after 2007 will be made later, after we see how the 2007 specialty goes.
