The show will be on Friday, July 18 at the Portland Expo Center preceding two Portland Kennel Club all-breed shows on Saturday and Sunday. Breed and Juniors judge will be Molly Martin. Puppy and Veterans Sweeps judge will be Penny Petrille. Obedience and Rally Obedience judge will be Pam Weaver. Carolyn Miller is assistant show chair for this event. Other committee chairs are:

As always, we are hoping for generous trophy donations from our members and friends. A donation form is on page 7 of this Bugler. Following the show, we will hold a potluck ringside. Raffle Items Needed
Ken Jorgensen is looking for a few — actually quite a few — good items for this year’s Specialty Show Raffle. In the past, many of the dog show vendors have contributed items to the raffle. Ken says that the economy this year is making it harder for him to get raffle donations. He’s hoping that club members can make up some of the slack by donating items they already have, or by purchasing items to donate to the raffle.
Beagle and dog related items are always popular. Plush Beagle animals, baskets or other containers filled with dog treats and toys, grooming supplies, and Beagle figurines usually generate a lot of interest. However, non-dog items are welcome, too.
Ken would also appreciate any leads or suggestions of businesses that might be willing to donate to the raffle. Or better yet, it would be really great if members would contact the businesses themselves to ask for donations. Donors are listed in the show catalog and Ken can also send thank you letters to businesses that they may be able to use as a receipt for tax purposes.
For more information and/or to let Ken know you have a donation for the raffle, e-mail him at strbritebeagles2@comcast.net.
