CWBC Says “Good-bye” to Sherry
CWBC lost a beloved member on St.Patrick’s Day this year. On March 17, Sherry Hinkel succumbed to pulmonary hypertension at the Kaiser Sunnyside Hospital in Portland, Oregon. On March 21 friends and family, including many CWBC members, gathered in Battle Ground, Washington to remember Sherry and pay tribute to her. There were tears and laughter as people shared stories about her, both formally at the church and informally at the reception at the home of her sister and brother-in-law where Sherry had also lived. In her brief membership with CWBC, Sherry became an integral part of the Club. We will miss her dedication to the success of the Club, the joy she had when she was with the dogs, and most of all, her friendship.
<~~ Sherry & Morgan earned their Canine Good Citizen title at the Club’s CGC test last June. Pat Marlow is the tester.
Sherry attracts attention at The 2007 Beagle Bash. Mike Shaffer is pictured in the background.
Sherry chaired the 2008 Specialty.
Here she helps trophy chair Tracy Thun with the ribbons.

From Education Chair Janet Armstrong
Martha Stewart has launched a fun, educational pet website at the following link:
http: www.marthastewart.com/pets?lnc=38f9cf380e1dd010VgnVCM1000005b09a00aRCRD&rsc=globalnavigation_tv_the-martha-stewartshow.Beagles are currently one of the dogs featured on the "meet the breed" link.
April is prevention of cruelty to animals month, and there is a link to the ASPCA.
Using "Dogpile" as a search engine (and a very good one it is) also helps support the ASPCA -- one of the oldest and more moderate groups out there helping animals of all kinds.
