Annual Holiday Party Changed to
Saturday, December 12
At the request of our hostess, members voted to schedule the annual holiday party and December meeting on Saturday, December 12 rather than Sunday. The festivities will begin at 4 p.m. at the home of Janet Armstrong and Gary Flightner in Gresham, OR.
The club will provide a main entrée and drinks. Club members are asked to bring a salad, dessert, or other side dish to round out the feast. Janet would appreciate it if members would RSVP with what they are planning to bring so she can try to make sure we have a balance of foods.
We will also have a fun gift exchange during which participants can steal from each other. If you wish to participate, bring a wrapped gift with a value of no more than $15.

Another Successful CERF Clinic & Supported Entry
Ellen Parr organized another very successful CERF Clinic at the WVKC show on Sunday, November 8. In addition to Ellen, members Lynn Ramsdale, Ken Jorgenson, and Gloria Long ran the event. Board certified ophthalmologist Dr. Sara Maxwell examined 60+ dogs. The event raised about $500 for CWBC. This is the fourth CERF Clinic that CWBC has offered at the WVKC show.
Thanks Ellen and crew

Winners Get Treats!
CWBC supported the Beagle entry at the Willamette Valley Kennel Club show on Sunday, November 8. Winners, Reserve Winners, Best of Opposite, and Best of Winners received bags of toys and treats. First in class took home a magnet with a patriotic Beagle motif. Best of Variety winners got a crate. The prizes were much appreciated—especially by the Beagles who got to eat the treats and play with the toys!

Time is Running Out to Renew Your Membership!
Annual dues were due October 1, but CWBC automatically gives members a 60-day grace period to renew their membership. So if it just slipped your mind and you want to renew, there’s still time. You can download a renewal form from the CWBC website at www.cwbeagles.com/membership.htm
Dues are $20 for individuals, $25 for family, and $20 for out-of-area supporting memberships. Completed forms, checks payable to CWBC, and signed Code of Ethics should be mailed to: Jean Applegate, Membership Chair, 38855 SE Trubel Rd., Sandy, OR 97055.
If you have any questions or would like to request a financial hardship extension, please contact Jean at appledog2@ verizon.net or (503) 668-8898. Any member who has not renewed by December 1 and wishes to remain a member must petition the Board who may grant an additional 60 days grace to delinquent members in “meritorious cases,” or submit a new application for membership.
