In order to help those dogs that have retired or been returned to the breeder, the CWBC is offering a chance for Breeders within the club to partake in this program in hopes to find a permanent home for their dog rather than use the resources of the Rescue Program.
Click here for an article that was published in the February 2004 Beagle Bugler.
Each of the Breeders who are offering to Re-Home one of their dogs has:
Signed the CWBC Code of Ethics,
Provided a sample contact to the Re-Home Coordinator,
Ensured all shots are up to date, and that the dog is healthy or under proper care of a Veterinarian,
Provided a disclosure describing specific problems the dog they are offering may have: submissive urination, doesn't like children, not crate trained, occasional lack of house training, chews wrong toys such as the couch, separation anxieties, etc,
Agreed to take fully responsible for placement of their dog.
The CWBC Re-Home program is a referral service only, and the CWBC does not take ANY responsibility of the care and management of the dogs who are placed through program. If any problems occur with the dog, the owner should contact the breeder directly, and preferably, immediately.
